Beautiful older late 1800's to early 1900's eastern native made splint basket! The basket is American Indian made using natural river cane. We obtained it from a private estate auction and it comes from the estate of Bob Davis, a renown collector from Oklahoma City, OK. It’s in great condition with no broken or chipped cane. The basket measures approximately 4 ½” tall by 6 ½” wide across the opening. It weighs 76.5 grams (2.70 ounces). I would say tribal affiliation would connect the basket to either Cherokee or Chippewa, but I can't be certain.  $169.95
