Very old vintage handmade Zuni/Navajo ingot silver eight (8) piece gaspeite inlay ring. Not real sure exactly how to describe this ring? The silversmith has used ingot silver and shaped/hammered the ring into shape. It’s at least 90% silver, the inside looks like coin silver (90%) yet the outside of the ring has been polished and appears to be sterling grade (92.5%) silver. The stones have been precisely inlaid flush to the silver channels. The silversmith has ran twisted wire down both sides, but somehow the twisted wire has sunk down under the stone setting and it shows either heavy wear over the years or heavy polished to form a part of the ring band? Or both?. I’d say the ring is at least 70 yrs old.

The ring face measures 13/16” by 9/16” across and weighs 10.9 grams. It’s a size 11 and is at least 90% ingot silver. There’s a CC stacked etched inside, but I can’t find an artist. Could be a previous owner? The ring shows quality craftsmanship although somewhat primitive! $177.95
