Item #947W- Navajo Kingman Turquoise Stamped Bow Tie Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace and Earrings Set by E&M TELLER
NEW! Beautiful Navajo Kingman turquoise bow tie squashblossom necklace and earrings by Everett and Mary Teller. The Tellers told us they based the squashblossom from a vintage 1940’s bow tie squashblossom and added their unique touch to update the style somewhat. They used ninety six (96) 7mm fluted sterling saucer beads, sixteen (16) 11mm fluted sterling saucer beads, eight (8) 5mm fluted sterling saucer beads, and two (2) 8mm fluted sterling round beads, twelve (12) turquoise bow tie blossoms that measure 1 1/4” across by 1/2” tall, and a five (5) stone decorated naja that measures 3 1/8” tall by 2 3/8” across. Each turquoise bow tie blossom displays an oval cut and polished Kingman turquoise stone set into a smooth silver bezel. The stone is flanked on both sides by a row of six (6) silver drops along with decorative stampwork of a plant symbol and sunrise stamping on the inside and outside face of the bow tie. The each have two (2) solid silver tubes that run the length on the back that assure the bowtie stays straight an the necklace. The heavy naja sports five (5) oval cut and polished Kingman stone also set into smooth bezels with a stick of twisted wire running under the stone and a total of six (6) hogan or fun sun buttons set at top that separate each stone from the next. The heavy horseshoe of the naja sports decorative notching along with the hogan/sun buttons attached at both ends. They also added a raised flat bar across the top back side of the naja to guard against the silver beads or connection from catching on your shirt or blouse. They have finished the necklace by attaching two (2) custom stamped shepherds hooks using large soldered round jump rings. The two (2) hooks allow the customer to either clip them to each other, make it slightly shorter by clipping one hook to the large jump ring, or allowing the customer to add an extension to make the squashblossom hang lower on the chest. The earrings, although display a different pattern (arrowhead pattern), have matching stones as used in the necklace. We can discount the earrings if the customer doesn’t want them.
