Large solid vintage Mexican silver dome flower earrings. These earrings are fairly heavy which makes me believe the domes are solid silver, not hollow. The artist has created a sterling silver flower using a large solid dome in center and encircling the dome with smaller silver domes. The artist finishes by attaching an ear stud on the back in the center.

Each earring measures slightly over 1” diameter and weighs 8.3 grams (16.6 grams per pair) and signed TM-183 - MEXICO - 925. Mexican hallmarks were registered with the state. Mexico use to keep strict book keeping on who bought silver and how much they bought to keep them honest. They had to show what they made and the weights had to match the amount of silver they originally bought so they couldn’t melt the silver and add more copper or nickel. TM-183 means the silversmith is from Taxco, his last name starts with an M, and he/she is the 183rd registered silversmith with last name starting with M.
