NEW! Bold solid three (3) piece Navajo turquoise and silver claws handmade necklace. The artist has created all of the necklace by hand with exception of the spring loaded clasp and obviously the turquoise stone. The silversmith has used a beautiful cut and polished turquoise stone, possibly Turquoise Mountain, setting it into a scallop cut silver bezel. He encircles the stone with triangular deep cut/stamped wire creating a shadowbox effect. The artist then attached a thick solid silver "bear claw" to the left and right top of the turquoise setting. The "bear claws" sport decorative notched designed on the outer sides. The artist finishes the necklace by attaching solid "dot-dash-dot" handmade chains to the tips of both bear claws with a spring loaded silver clasp on one end.

The necklace measures 24" long end to end with a wearable length of 13 1/4" measured from clasp to bottom of turquoise setting. Theoretically the necklace can be set at shorter wearable length by clipping the clasp to any of the circular chain links. The turquoise measures 1 3/8" by 3/4" across with the complete setting measuring 1 11/16" by 1 1/8" across. Each solid silver bear claw measures 3" long by 5/8" wide by 1/8" thick. The complete necklace weighs 57.2 grams (2.02 ounces or 1.84 troy ounces) and is hallmarked F.Peters - Broken Arrow - STERLING by Navajo silversmith Fred Peters.
