Large, bold, and beautiful Navajo eight (8) piece lapis decorative stamped and textured concho belt with leather backings! The belt has seven (7) oval conchos with an oblong cut and polished lapis stone set in a smooth bezel and mounted in the center. Each concho displays a punched textured silver design with deep decorative stampwork around the stone and repeating oval stampwork. The artist has added leather backings to each concho. The large buckle displays the same design and stamping only on a rectangular setting. The artist has attached a solid belt holder and flat nosed belt clip to the back side of the buckle. All eight (8) pieces are attached to a thick dark brown leather belt. The conchos measure a large 2 3/4" by 3 3/4" across with the buckle measuring 3" by 3 7/8" across. The belt measures 1" wide by 34 1/2" long with holes punch at 27 1/2", 28 1/2", 29 1/2", and 30". It appears the prior owner had a really slim waist and had to take one of the conchos off to wear the belt. A man would probably need to obtain a new belt. The full belt weighs a healthy 581.4 grams (20.51 ounces or 18.69 troy ounces). The buckle is stamped customized P by the silversmith and is guaranteed Sterling Silver.
