Item #833P- XLG Vintage 60's-70's Zuni Multi Stone Inlay Black Apache Ghan Dancer Leaves Bolo Tie by L.Yawakia
Extra large vintage 60’s-70’s Zuni multi stone inlay Apache Ghan dancer. The artist has created a stone-to-stone inlay of a Black Apache Ghan Dancer. Using a large oval piece of mother of pearl shell as the back drop the artist cut out the figure from the MOP shell and inlaid pieces of turquoise, coral, abalone, and black jet to envision the dancer. All set into a large saw tooth bezel wrapped with twisted wire. The artist adds two (2) sun buttons at top flanked by large silver leaves along with a single sun button at bottom also flanked by large silver leaves. Filling the voids on both sides with deep cut thick gauge smooth wire. Finishing the extra large bolo setting by attaching a thumb locking bolo cord clasp. We purchased this setting from an estate and the previous owner had converted it into a necklace by removing the thumb locking piece and running bead wire through the holes along with round silver seamed beads and rolled silver melon beads. We removed the beads, installed a new thumb piece along with a new 4-ply braided black leather cord and smooth saucer bead end tips.
