Beautiful heavy older Navajo silver and 12KGF horse head and horse shoe overlay pendant and matching earrings set! The pendant consists of a hollow pillow type silver base with a 12KGF horse head overlaid in center along with a 12KGF decoratively notched border across the top. The silversmith continues by adding a silver horse shoe that opens at top around the outer border and attaching a silver bale (approx. 1/4" by 1/8" opening) at top. The beautiful horse pendant measures 1 1/2" by 1 3/8" across and including the bale is 1 5/8" tall. It weighs a solid 14.3 grams and is signed HD - STERLING by the Navajo artist.
The matching earrings display the overlaid 12KGF horse head onto a textured gold background with the 12KGF border and sterling silver horse shoe opening down. The artist attaches a sterling silver ear hook at the top. Each earring measures 1" by 7/8" and including the ear hook is 1 3/4" tall. They weigh 6.7 grams and 6.3 grams respectfully for a total of 13 grams for both. One has a STERLING stamped plate attached on the back hence the extra weight.
