Rare, vintage, one of a kind antique handmade mother of pearl pill box/pendant. The artist has used a complete mother of pearl clamshell removing the outer cover of the clamshell to a full smooth off white rainbow reflective surface inside and out. The artist then has seamed both sections together using a sterling silver cap forcing the two (2) sections to become as one again. The artist then cuts out a perfect circular section out of one side and creating a two (2) part sterling silver hinge connected lid. They anchored the bottom of the hinged lid into the cut out and used the circular section as the top of the lid encasing it into the second section. The lid has a snap on bead type latch. The artist also attaches a circular ring type bale where the pill box can be worn as a pendant. Very unique and one of a kind!

The mother of pearl pill box measures approximately 1 7/8” by 1 3/8” and is approximately 9/16” deep on inside. It weighs 16 grams. I hesitated listing it knowing the chances of purchasing another is next to nil. Beautiful OOAK mother of pearl shell pill box/pendant! $237.95
