Beautiful large vintage Navajo Morenci turquoise, coral, and flower foliage sterling silver stamped jewelry box! The jewelry box displays two (2) large rare Morenci Mine polished turquoise nuggets with black grit matrix and "fools gold" pyrite, six (6) pieces of cut and polished blood red branch coral, along with a large flower bloom and two (2) large leaves. The artist continues decorating with five (5) coiled scrolls and multiple sized silver drops. All this one the lid along with encircling the rim with twisted rope and repeating decorative stamping. All four sides have a repeating stamped design that runs the full length around the box. The lid is connected to the box with silver tubes and a pin style hinge with a silver drop as a stop. The large decorated silver box measures 3" by 2 1/4" by 1" deep and stands 1 1/4" tall from bottom to top of lid. It weighs 93.9 grams (3.31 ounces or 3.02 troy ounces) and is signed LJ - Sterling on the underside by the Navajo artist. I'm going to take a wild guess and say the artist was Leonard James since the other silver boxes we got are also from the James family, but I may be wrong. Either way the box is quality made with top line stones! The box is a great example of quality Navajo craftsmanship!  $699.95
