Large, beautiful, and colorful Zuni multi stone inlay Full Sun Rainbowman pendant with handmade chain. Made by award winners Ruddell and Nancy Laconsello, they have created a multiple stone inlay pendant. The pendant displays a Rainbowman deity in center sporting sugalite, pink quartz, blue turquoise, lapis, coral, and gaspeite along with opal between each of the stones across the arched back .The Rainbowman wears a turquoise loincloth with coral sash belt, lapis leggings, and turquoise shoes. along with a sugalite shirt with coral sleeves and turquoise gloves. He’s wearing a lapis kiva hat with black jet “stairsteps” around the outer rim and coral earrings with a yellow mother of pearl face with small jet eyes and mouth. Inside the arch of Rainbowman there’s a green malachite corn stalk with watermelons growing on the ground to either side. All inside a silver sun with triangular turquoise inlaid to show sun ray separation. The pendant is finished within a circular silver frame. The Laconsello’s have added a circular wire bale and safety locking pin on the back. The beautiful detailed pin/pendant also comes with a handmade silver chain. The Laconsello’s are known mainly for creating this style of inlay work, but normally they do birds. Have not seen a deity layout so this may be somewhat rare for them to make or was a custom requested piece?

The pin/pendant measures 2” diameter with the chain being approximately 26” long. The chain doesn’t have a clasp, but has a small silver “keychain” that allows the removal of the chain to wear as a pin or brooch. The complete set weighs 34.4 grams (1.21 oz or 1.11 ozt) and is hallmarked in cursive R.N. Laconsello - Sterling - ZUNI by the Zuni couple. They have been producing jewelry since mid 1970’s.
