NEW! Large bold Navajo nine (9) stone turquoise necklace and earrings set. The silversmith has cut and polished large turquoise stones into different shapes. Each stone matches it’s corresponding stone on the opposite side of the necklace. Starting at the clasp the artist has a square cut stone on both sides followed by oval cut stones. Next are rectangular cut stone and oblong oval stones, finishing with the focal oval stone. Each stone is set into very fine sawtooth bezels wrapped with twisted wire. The rest of each setting consists of three (3) small silver drops and a silver bow on each side. At the tip of the bows are silver hogan buttons followed by decorative stamped smooth wire that wraps around the top and bottom of each stone setting. The artist also adds a scroll type wire at top and bottom used to connect one stone setting to the next. The focal oval stone is slightly different whereas it has both scroll connecting wires at top with an extra hogan button separating them. The matching earrings are designed the same way with the stones cut in a kidney or three-sided shape. The stones look like Stormy Mountain, but we were told they from the Kingman Mines. The way they have been cut has exposed a really unique appearance!
