Beautiful, large, heavy, and heavily decorated eleven piece concho belt! The belt was obtained from a studio auction and was used in the movie, "Return of the King" from the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. According to the description it was worn by one of the background actresses in the Castle of King Theodon. Now I haven't watched the movie series, but I would bet that any kid that followed the movie could verify it! Back to the belt, the artist has used eleven (11) heavy cast silver conchos with flower decoration and heavy stamping around the scallop edges which also includes the buckle. All mounted onto two heavy thick leather belts with the buckle permanently attached using simulated sinew to create a unique tie down. The buckle and the very last concho are slightly smaller than the rest. They measure approximately 2 5/8" by 3 1/8" across with the rest of the conchos measuring approximately 2 3/4" by 3 1/4" across with the full belt weighing 877.9 grams (30.97 ounces or 28.23 troy ounces). VERY HEAVY!! It is stamped COPYRIGHT 1993 by the silversmith. It also has a name signed on it, guessing it's the actresses signature? The smaller belt measures 1" wide by 3/16" thick with the wide belt measuring 3 3/8" wide by 1/8" thick. The full length of the concho belt is 48" long with set buckle holes starting at 40". It is made for a very large waist and I'd say the actress that wore it was heavy set. This is more of a large man's belt! The silver tests in the 90% range which would be better known or comparable to coin silver. Definitely silver! Non-native made, but very collectable bold concho belt!  $2169.95
