WOW! Beautiful detailed museum quality needlepoint concho belt! Made with nine (9) concho's and a buckle attached to a double belt so you can wear it as is or with just the smaller belt if desired. Each concho consists of fifty (50) needlepoint stones and twenty four (24) round "snake eyes" with each stone set in fine cut saw toothed bezels. The concho's have two wraps of twisted rope with seven (7) silver drops in center and a silver drop at the tip of each needlepoint stone around the outer rim. All mounted to a blackened silver base plate. The buckle is slightly larger and consists of sixty (60) needlepoint stones and thirty six (36) snake eyes with thirteen (13) silver drops in center and silver drops around the outer perimeter. That's 762 total hand cut stones (510 and 252 respectfully)! The concho's measure 3" by 2 1/8" and the buckle measures 3 5/8" by 2 3/8". The belts are new and haven't been sized with any hole punches. The wide belt is 2 1/4" wide and the small belt is 3/4" wide and they measure 42" and 45" each with the buckle extending another 2" past the leather. The whole belt weighs 18 ounces and is signed, By Jason Yazzie - Sterling Silver on the buckle. We purchased the belt from an individual who in turn bought it from a reputable Santa Fe gallery. It comes with the original certificate of authenticity from the gallery. The C of A states the belt from the 30's with new leather. I'm not familiar with the silversmith so I cannot attest to that claim, but you can see the original retail price is still on it of $3600. Needlepoint turquoise is the most sought after and hardest to make. Originally made by the Zuni artist, but now is made by many master craftsmen of different tribes.  $3349.95
