Beautiful vintage Navajo branch coral necklace with chain extension! The necklace consists branch coral chunks and branches all strung on cotton twine. The artist has created a balanced appearance with the branches equally positioned across the front. The artist finishes the necklace by applying silver cones at each end and adding a 6 1/2" long hand made silver chain extension to one end and a silver hook at the other.

The necklace measures 21 1/2" end to end and including the extension is 28" end to end. The wearable length varies with a maximum of 14 3/4" long and a minimum of 11 3/4" long. It weighs 48.7 grams (1.72 ounces) and is unsigned with sterling silver cones and extension. The necklace is 60's-70's and possibly older. We've highlighted the last link on the extension to show the hammer marks by the hand tools the artist was limited to use to create the curve in the link.
